ABOUT OUR PRIVATE LESSONS

The Kawai Music School offers weekly private piano lessons for students of all skill levels ages 5 and up. Because every student has different learning abilities, private piano lessons offer students an individualized approach to help them achieve their personal needs and goals. Our experienced piano teachers cover topics ranging from music theory to ear training to piano technique and repertoire, establishing a solid foundation for continued growth and lifelong music enjoyment.

GENRES

One of our goals at the Kawai Music School is to help our students learn about and appreciate different genres and styles of music. Along with learning the fundamentals of piano technique and music theory, each student will have experience learning about other musical styles, including jazz, rock, pop and classical.

AGES & SKILL LEVELS

We offer beginner to advance private piano lessons for children and adults ages 5 and up. Our beginner students will learn basic musical concepts and piano technique laying the foundation for continued piano and musical learning. Our intermediate and advance students will continue their progress by increasing their knowledge of proper piano technique and musicality through their learning of world-class piano repertoire.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Private piano students receive a comprehensive music education that includes music reading, improvisation, composition, ear training, music theory and more. We offer 30, 45, 60 minute lessons that can be scheduled at times that are most convenient to the student. There will also be opportunities for all private piano students, beginner to advanced, to perform for their peers, family and friends in recitals or festivals.

PIANO ACADEMY

Our elite Music Academy is recommended for students with experience studying music on an intermediate and advanced level. Lessons are 60 minutes and students must consistently demonstrate consistent practice, thoughtful preparation for lessons, and a strong expressive capacity. Special opportunities for our Academy students will include master classes with local college professors, workshops on topics such as practice strategies, improvisation, preparation for junior and senior solo recitals, contests, and participation in the Royal Academy of Music. Audition is required

Pricing for private lessons are:

30 minute weekly lesson/monthly payment – $160.00
45 minute weekly lesson/monthly payment – $240.00
60 minute weekly lesson/monthly payment – $320.00

Is The Piano Difficult To Learn

The piano is difficult to learn; however it can be one of the most fun and rewarding experiences you undertake. With the help of a good teacher, patience and dedication, you can learn to play the piano. The important thing is to enjoy the journey!

Are Private Piano Lessons Better Than Group Lessons?

There are benefits to both private and group piano lessons. Private lessons offer students more one-on-one attention and individualized learning. Our group piano lessons offer students, especially for beginners, a fun, dynamic and social learning environment where students encourage and challenge each other to excel.
