PIANO LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS

The Kawai Music School offers beginning private and group piano lessons for students ages 5 and up. Our beginning piano curriculum includes music reading, basic music theory, piano technique and more. With the guidance of our experienced piano teachers, every beginning student will be able to build a solid foundation upon which they can grow as a musician and pianist.

Our beginning piano programs are taught using traditional method books supplemented by other activities, including public performances and group classes. We aim to provide the finest and most enjoyable learning environment and experience for our beginning piano students.

GENRES

One of our goals at the Kawai Music School is to help our students learn about and appreciate different genres and styles of music. Along with learning the fundamentals of piano technique and music theory, each student will learn about other musical styles, including jazz, rock, pop and classical.

AGES & SKILL LEVELS

We offer beginner private piano lessons for children and adults ages 5 and up. Our beginner students will learn basic musical concepts and piano technique laying the foundation for continued piano and musical learning.

The Kawai Music School offers beginning private or group piano lessons for students of all ages – preschool through adult. We encourage all beginning students to take beginning group piano lessons to establish a solid foundation for continued progress and learning. Is Learning In Group Or Private Lessons Better For Beginners?

We encourage beginner piano students to first learn the basics of music and piano in our group piano lessons. These group classes are fun and interactive offering each student valuable social interaction.

HOW DO IT KNOW IF MY CHILD IS READY FOR LESSONS?

While there is no exact age to start lessons, a few factors come to mind: has your child expressed a desire to play an instrument, is your child eager to learn new things, how long is their attention span, and does your child move to music, sing often, and gravitate toward people making music. The important thing is to introduce them to music lessons in an age appropriate way that is fun.
